Your safety
with
Kerry Marine Tours
Always Be Watchful on the WaterIt’s easy to get distracted in a landscape as beautiful as Kerry! Please exercise caution when moving about the vessel, especially when underway. Watch your step – be aware that vessel doorways have a raised threshold. Use the handrails when climbing or descending stairs. If there are children in your party, keep them under direct observation at all times.
Insuring the safety of our passengers is of the utmost importance to Kerry Marine Tours.
The MV Atlantic Explorer is built and maintained to strict standards set by the Department of Marine
and is fully licensed to P5 standard. Our highly trained crew members are certified for all
relevant marine safety procedures and we carry the latest electronic navigation,
radar, echo sounding and radio equipment to maximise safety.
Life vests are stowed under the seats. There is a 16 man fully automatic life raft mounted on the forward deck. Fire extinguishers are located throughout the vessel. If you see or smell smoke, tell a crew member immediately. If you see someone fall overboard, yell "MAN OVER BOARD", and do not take your eyes off the person in the water.
Keep aisles and the back deck clear so crew movement at the rear door is unimpeded during rescue operations.
